We hope you’re all rolling into the work-week with a bang!

Here at CCRE we’re a little sleepy, excited & mentally worn out, in the best of ways. Last week was MEGA CAMP PEOPLE! That might not mean much to some but for us it was a chance to see just how far we’ve come, how far we can go and what we can implement differently into our work lives.

Everyone knows that going to exciting events/conferences you get filled with new levels of energy and feel driven to be the best. However, the game changer comes when you actually use the information that was presented. I mean, let’s face it, we go to these uplifting events and we get this new profound sense of drive… So, we get back to work ready to fire up what we’ve learned…. Only, when we come home we aren’t surrounded by those people, lights, energy or as my best friend described it as the “electrifying” atmosphere.

We get home, unpack, we’re exhausted, the fridge is out, kids need fed and the dog gets sick. Here we are, every day people, just trying to get by. Yet, I don’t truly believe that we remember that everyone has these moments and life issues, that seem to just, “get in the way” of where we want to be. As Paulo Coelho says in the Alchemist, “One day you will wake up & there won’t be anymore time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now.” Once again, easier said than done right?

I get it, here at CCRE we have the same struggles. We miss calls, we get tired, home life seems to melt into work life and then we’re left wondering where our drive and energy went. It’s there, it’s always there, it’s just dependent on what you make as a priority. The dog will get sick, the kids will need to be taken care of and the fridge sometimes needs a tune up. Your problems are no bigger or smaller than anyone else. How you overcome those obstacles that seem to “get in the way” of your passion and focus are how you excel past average. Fear looms over us, even if we pretend it doesn’t exist… We say things like, “How will this affect me, my family, how far I’ve already come?” Remember though, there will be those days where you need to go home and just turn it all off, get away and recoup, just don’t let your recouping cloud you from what your heart needs.

Here’s how I am determined to use what I learned at Mega Camp. I understand that to market for someone or something you have to know why you’re doing it. I have committed myself to checking in, once a week, with one of our clients. Our clients are my WHY they’re the reason we’re here and they’re the reason I get to do what I love day in and day out. So, from here on out I have Chris and my goal notebook to keep me accountable.

Remember, having someone who keeps you accountable, in a POSITIVE way will change your outlook. You need a tribe to achieve your goals and you need a clear goal. It doesn’t have to be to end world hunger, but it could be to bring a meal to a citizen in need, once a month. Small steps lead us to bigger goals. I mean, if we all brought a meal to someone in need once a month, just THINK of the change that could bring. We all need each other, your energy matters and you matter and your goals matter…Don’t forget that.

As our good friend Dr. Seuss said, “… For people just waiting. Waiting for a train to go or a bus to come, or a plane to go or the mail to come, or the rain to go or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow or waiting around for a yes or no. Or waiting for their hair to grow. Everyone is just waiting.”

Don’t wait, don’t blame, don’t say life is in the way. If it is? Readjust, you’re only one person, so adjust. You know what you want and need out of life. So be that person, you don’t have any excuse not to be the best version of yourself. So, need someone to help keep you accountable? We’re here! Leave a comment for us on what you want to accomplish.
