There are few places in this beautiful country that boasts the same spirit as Boise. With Halloween creeping up, I had many different events and activities to attend. Don’t worry if you missed out on some festivities, I included many here for you so next year you will be on your Halloween game.

It is hard to cram them all in within the short amount of time. Here is a little peek into the Halloween weekend from the eyes of your marketing adventure seeker!

As we all know, there is always something going on in the Treasure Valley and you better believe that the people in our community are going to be involved. As usual, I wanted to share with you the adventures that sit right under our noses. To be able to share great experiences, one must live the experience. So, what kind of writer would I be if I didn’t live out the adventures so I could give the best advice?

This past weekend I watched as my best friend completed her second marathon. She took part in the Onward Shay race and not only was I shocked that a human being can actually run 26.2 miles, I was even more so blown away by the amount of support the community showed to the race’s participants. This was the first year of the Onward Shay and so I figured the turnout might not be huge and maybe citizens of Boise weren’t totally aware it was going to take place… I was delightfully wrong.

As we went from spot to spot, waiting for my friend to pass so we could cheer her on, there was barely anywhere to sneak in. People lined the streets, they sat on their front porches and we even passed houses where people were having full on front yard parties! Nothing makes me smile more than seeing individuals, who may not even like to run, sitting out in the pouring down rain to cheer out-of-towners & community members. Places like Boise Idaho are rare, how is it that we have a small town feel in such a large area?

After the Sunday of rain, running and screaming, I wasn’t all that amped to get up and start my Monday. The Halloween weekend was exhausting but nonetheless, there was work to be done and adventures to seek! You see, I had to run around the entire Valley checking out new spots and activities. I just wasn’t sure how I would get through the day… Well folks, Once again, the energy in Boise had me buzzing all day Monday.

Hyde Park was full of people celebrating Halloween on their lawns, Nampa had festivities from one coffee house to the next, businesses were shutdown for the last half of the day– which was a bummer for me because I was flying around in a cape delivering SuperHeroHome Sweets! Hello people, didn’t you know we were coming to save the day with caramel apples!?

It was such an energizing day, I truly had no idea Boise would be in such high spirits on a Monday after the crazy long weekend. Working here at Superhero Homes gives me the freedom to meet these beautiful people that make the Treasure Valley perfect. I spent all afternoon talking to families who took the day off to be with their children, going to the corn mazes and haunted houses.  Everyone I talked to was saying how they thought it would be fun, just this once to get their kids out early and surprise them. I smiled fondly at the memories of my own parents sneaking my sister and I out of school; which happened only a few times but enough to make those memories last a lifetime. Let’s keep the positivity coming people, take moments for your family or children, sneak away with your buddies for a few hours, just DO things that feel your positivity bucket up. We can all use a little of that light on these dark fall days.

If you are new to the area or have lived here forever, we would love to hear your Halloween Spirit stories. We would love to see your costumes. Most of all we would love to come to your business/home and deliver a Superhero Home treat! All you have to do is attach a photo of you or your families costumes and you will get a rad drop by within the next week, I mean after all, shouldn’t Halloween be celebrated ALL week!?
