Now that the cold weather has set in, our warm clothes are creeping into our closets, we’re sitting around our fireplaces watching movies and spending time with the ones we love. It’s hard to leave the house when it is so cozy and so cold outside.

However, the changing of the seasons is just one of the many great benefits of living in the Treasure Valley. Don’t worry, I won’t make you go all the way downtown and try to figure out where to go and what to do. I have already spent my hours investigating and finding my top three spots to recommend!

  1. Harry’s Hyde Park Pub
  2. Parilla
  3. Goody’s

Now, ready for some fun?

I mean, have you SEEN Hyde Park this time of year!?

Like I said, benefits, benefits, benefits!

Not only is Hyde Park lovely, it even has activities during the week to help you stay warm and get off the couch! Tonight at 8:30pm there is Trivia at Harry’s Hyde Park Pub. If you get there between 4-6pm you can enjoy happy hour, grab a burger and after you’re all done, it will be time for Trivia. A night out during the week is very much needed when this time of year creeps in. If you’re anything like me, the dark hours make you a little sleepier and more prone to wanting to hermit inside. Yet, we have to take advantage of fun nights like this, especially since they happen all week long…and remember, if your excuse not to go is because you want to be in your yoga pants and big fuzzy socks, you’re more than welcome to dress like a comfy little Christmas elf at trivia night.

Don’t forget the other adventures that await you down in Hyde Park. For example, Parilla hosts their dollar taco nights every Tuesday. They’re delicious, fresh and after you’re done you can walk down to Goody’s and get your much deserved ice cream or hot cocoa.

What is so fantastic about the Hyde Park area is that there is something for everyone. Children and adults are able to venture out into the cold and find an exciting activity. Whether you want to spend the night at the toy shop or munching on warm hot cookies, there is an endless array of activities for the entire family.

Take it from me, don’t forget to grab a hot bag of caramel corn on your way home, you won’t be disappointed.
