I’m beyond excited to announce I’m joining forces with the Superhero Homes team!

For those who don’t know me, I thought I’d share a little about myself…

In February of 2013 our family relocated to the Treasure Valley from Granger, Indiana. My husband Mick, a chiropractor, took over a practice in Nampa while I transferred to a local healthcare organization.  We were introduced to Chris Carpenter and his team and they’ve since become an integral part of our lives. Not only did we gain a trusting real estate agent but also a life-long friend.

I’m sure you’ve all heard the saying ‘everything happens for a reason’, right?  Well, when I think of our move to Boise and meeting Chris that’s exactly what comes to mind. Ever since I can remember some part of me has wanted a career in real estate and design. I spent much of my free time as a kid constructing homes out of dresser drawers for my dolls and selling them to the neighboring He-Man and Star Wars compound, aka my brother and his friends. Maybe not your typical childhood fantasy but it was mine and I loved it!

As I grew, it seemed my childhood dream began to drift light-years away. Life brought twists and turns, as it does, and my career path transitioned into healthcare. I was fortunate to hold positions that strengthened my communication, leadership and teaching skills.  I acquired empathy and learned how to help quiet ones fears and grew into someone people trusted and counted on.  Even though I was on a successful path, that lingering ‘what if’’ from my childhood, still remained.

Then one day I came across a George Eliot quote I just couldn’t shake, ‘It’s never too late to be what you might have been’.   Right then it hit me, like a slap in the face. All those ‘twists and turns’ were simply preparing me for the moment the stars aligned. I made the decision to enroll in Real Estate School, then the International Staging and Redesign School and before I knew it my dreams were coming to fruition. What I’ve learned most on this crazy adventure is you should never give up on yourself or your dreams. I’m a firm believer we all have the strength and power to create the lives and community we want.  I’m so grateful for this opportunity and proud to say I’m part of the Superhero Homes team!
