Aspiring Realtor

We were fortunate enough to have an aspiring realtor join us for the last week. Her name is Naomi… A bright young high-schooler with a ton of ambition and a knack for photography and writing. You can imagine my excitement when she wanted to write a blog for our website! If you have the time, check out her Instagram where she posts her work and who knows, maybe you just might hire her to shoot your home before we list it!

“I decided to shadow Chris here at Superhero Homes because he has been an excellent friend of my Dad for many years. Chris and his team have helped my family find many homes due to my parents always looking for new places to live here in the Valley. Because of all the moving I had done as a kid, I’ve been around realtors quite often and always loved going “house hunting” with my parents for as long as I can remember. The feeling of walking through a new home and dreaming of its potential was something I loved to do and still do to this day. Even though my family has settled down recently in our little suburban nook of Meridian, Idaho I still find myself driving through neighborhoods hoping to see an Open House sign. The colorful flags and balloons always seem to wave me over. I find myself strolling into the show home simply for fun.

Now, as I find myself 18 years old and a senior in high school, my future is right around the corner and it’s time to make some choices. Next year I will have to present a senior project to my peers, teachers, and adults regarding a career or skill interest. As I reflected on what I’d always loved to do, I remembered the little girl dreaming of a home’s potential as she walked through new houses with her parents all those years ago. Not long after, I sent Chris an email in hopes to shadow his company for my Senior Project!

My goals for this shadowing experience are to learn the basics of Real Estate and to see how a successful business is run and marketed. I know there is a lot more to Real Estate than simply showing homes to potential buyers, so I was curious to see what goes on behind the scenes here at the office. I have had the pleasure of meeting the staff here, and in only four days I have learned so much! I have learned the buying and selling process for Real Estate agents, the necessary acts of contacting potential clients and maintaining relationships, the importance of innovative, remarkable marketing, as well as tagging along with Chris to go house hunting.

I am so thankful for this opportunity and all of the people I have met so far! I truly admire this company and their willingness to help my future look bright. “
